In 1917, John Gandolfo, an Italian immigrant and a relative of the Gandolfo family, established the Gandolfo Theatre in Yuma, Arizona. This 635-seat venue showcased films, vaudeville acts, and stage performances, becoming a cultural hub for the community. During World War II, it served as a USO canteen, supporting military personnel. After a fire in 1925, the third-floor ballroom was removed, but the theater continued operations until 1950. Today, the building stands as a testament to the Gandolfo family's enduring legacy in the region.
